The adult bald eagle was hit by a car while feeding on a road kill raccoon on Route 1A in October and brought to Avian Haven. The tip of the eagle's beak was almost broken clean off, so Avian Haven cut it off and used a dremel tool to reshape the end of the beak. Ashley L. Conti | BDN
