Pay It Forward. Leader Dog

Monday I meet back up with a family that had a story that ran a few weeks ago at the paper. It's a pretty touching story. Let me know what you think. Here's a little background of what the story is about...

Don Schluchter, 65, of Saginaw, drove the two hour trip to return wife's, Linda, 60, and his future leader dog Bridget, a year old yellow Labrador retriever, Monday to Leader Dogs for the Blind, 1039 S. Rochester Rd in Rochester Hills. "Come here buddy, come here," said Schulchter before bringing Bridget inside the Leader Dogs for the Blind building. The Schulchter's volunteered to raise a leader dog puppy after Don received a heart transplant. Instead of paying back the family who graciously donated the young man's heart, Don wanted to pay it forward and help someone else in need. After Don returned Bridget, he was due to get a new future leader dog puppy. This time a Golden retriever.
