BREWER, MAINE -- 04/24/2015 - Postal Service workers carry the casket of William Schaefer, 54 of Brewer who passed away unexpectedly on April 22. Schaefer was employed for 35 years as a United States Postal Service Letter Carrier, and worked out of Bangor. In honor of Schaefer, the Postal Service released letter carriers in Bangor, Hampden, and Brewer to attend the funeral service at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Brewer Friday. Zimmerman Memorial Fitness Challenge at the University of Maine campus in Orono Saturday. The challenge has team of four test their mental and physical toughness through a variety of tasks and obstacles. The ZFC was established in 2011 to honor and remember 1st Lt James R.
